On November 16, 2017, the Chairman of the Board of the Limited Liability Company “ISR Trans” Rahman Khalilov visited the Taganrog Fuel Oil Terminal (TMT) to inspect the result of the work on transferring capacities to transshipment of base oils and light oil products and assessing the enterprise's readiness to work during the winter period in 2017 - 2018.
The terminal is managed by the Limited Liability Company “Kurgannefteprodukt”, it is included in the asset portfolio of shareholders of LLC “ISR Trans” and is an important link in the chain of freight forwarding services provided by the company.
The decision to transfer a third of TMT capacities to transshipment and storage of light oil products in 2017 was dictated by market conditions, taking into account the tendency to reduce fuel oil production in Russia. The terminal's capacity allows handling up to 120 thousand tons per month. In 2014 – 2015, 1.27 and 1.29 million tons of fuel oil were handled through the terminal per year, respectively.
Based on the results of 10 month of 2017, the operating indicators of TMT are 300 thousand tons. This figure is not comparable to the volumes of transshipment in previous years. Therefore, the management of “ISR Trans” intends to continue the separation of capacities and increase the tank farm for light oil products.
"The situation in oil refining has changed, logistics has also changed," said the Chairman of the Board of the Limited Liability Company “ISR Trans” Rahman Khalilov, commenting on the results of the trip.
"The company is constantly developing. We modernize the terminal's production facilities, we update the railway rolling stock, we react quickly to all market changes and strive to organize the transport process in such a way that there are no downtime on the railway, demurrage on freight, so that customers in cooperation with us still find only advantages ", he concluded.
